Until a few years ago the answer was easy: start with market research or institutional missions in the nearest and easy to reach European countries, to verify the sales potential of a product range and to compare prices.
But are we sure it's still the right way?
To make a company “international” often means act through attempts and mistakes, but it does not necessarily mean wasting money. A wrong investment can produce an opposite effect: the momentary leave of every internationalization dream.
The solution on how to proceed exists.
First of all, we must keep in mind that we are governed by a single market law: the web. The answer to the initial question, how to choose the markets to approach, is therefore the following: it will be the massive presence of the company on the search engines, to produce information demands or offers requests. The web will tell us in which countries the customers are looking for products with certain technical data and at what price.
Once a statistic of contacts and geographic areas has been obtained, the company will have reliable indicators on which to base all the internationalization actions that Traversi Consulting can suggest.
